High School Head Injuries Not Necessarily Linked to CDE

You’ve seen the movie “Concussion” with Will Smith and got that shudder up your spine for our high school players (aka. future Pro Bowlers) right? Well, a new JAMA Neurology study is saying hold that thought. High school football head injuries don’t necessarily ever lead to cognitive impairment, nor to CDE (chronic traumatic encephalopathy.) Of course, it’s a tough sport and our players need to be safe and keep that helmet on.

If you, your child, a loved one, a friend, or even a stranger displays symptoms of a concussion or other head trauma, call Dr. Tessier right away.
