Dr. Tessier specializes in sports medicine, hip arthroscopy, and shoulder and knee procedures. He has a special interest in sports hernia repair and elbow injuries in throwing athletes, as well as managing conservative treatment of sports medicine injuries. He completed his fellowship training in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine at the American Sports Medicine Institute, Andrews Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center, and served as an assisting team physician for several university teams as well as the Birmingham Barons (Chicago White Sox AA), Strikehard Mixed Martial Arts, numerous high school teams, and the Birmingham Ballet.
